“FOR THE LOVE OF HOCKEY” Mr. Bryan is calling all lovers of hockey at Journey! We are putting together teams soon for an inter-mural floor hockey tournament to take place after Spring Break. First games will lift off in the first week in April. There is a lot of talk already in the staff room of a “superstar” team. Rumour has it they call themselves the “Dream Catchers or Crushers” and they say they can’t be beaten! With names like:
“The Jammer” Johnston; “The Destroyer” Dunbar; “The Neutralizer” Nadeau; “The Burner” Bryan; “The Dominator” Donegani”; “The Wizard” Wiens; “The Crusher” Constable; and of course, our very own “ringer” The Equalizer” Elm, whom the staff have voted official tournament referee – and for good reason – his giant ego rarely fits into the gym at the best of times 🙂
Have you ever wanted to get even with those staff members (and you KNOW who they are) who give you that mountain of extra homework just for the fun of it? Well ….. here is your chance for PAYBACK and SWEET revenge on the floor hockey stage.
Start putting your team together now. All grades are welcome and the teams will be mixed with both boys and girls. The focus is on fun, fun, fun …. Oh ya, and beating those nasty staff members. We’ll have a general, organizing meeting of all students who are interested in enjoying this inter mural floor hockey fun in the gym in a few weeks. Keep an ear out for “The Bruiser” Bedard’s morning announcements for more details about our first meeting to talk about teams, rules, schedule, fair play and all the inter mural floor hockey crazy shenanigans we’ll have.”
