This Week @ Journey February 19-23

Carnaval de Journey! Monday, Feb. 26. All afternoon. Fun and prizes just for participating. Food truck selling poutine $5 at lunch until the end of day. 

Late French Immersion: Parents and children do not have to speak French to be eligible for this opportunity. If you would like more information, please check the website and/or contact Mrs. Szadkowski for more information. We will be accepting registrations until the end of February. 

Monday

Musical Theatre Auditions begin today at lunch in Library. Any students in grade 6, 7 and 8 are encouraged to audition. If you missed the information meeting, see Mrs. Fader. This year’s performance again is a collaboration with students from EMCS. The show is “Grease”. Show dates are June 6, 7, 8 at 7 pm with a matinee on Saturday, the 9th.

Tuesday  

Grizzlies Hockey Team stops by to promote healthy lifestyles. The team will do two interactive presentations and play a little street hockey at recess. We will also begin selling tickets today to the Grizzlies Game on Sunday, Feb. 25 at 2 pm. $15 gets you a seat, burger, drink, bottomless popcorn and a souvenir. $4 from each ticket goes toward fundraising for your child’s division. Tickets are on sale in the office only.

SD62 Transportation info evening tonight at 7 pm in the library. Wondering about bus routes and schedules for next year. Bring your thoughts and suggestions and share them with members from the Transportation Dept.

Tea in the foyer – in the foyer for some herbal tea compliments of our Aboriginal Department. Students are encouraged to bring their own mug.

EMCS Open House 6:30 p.m. tonight. Everyone is welcome to check out the courses, sports teams, clubs and scholarships available at EMCS. This is a night for grade eights and their families to find what makes EMCS rank high on graduation rates and student satisfaction!

Professional Development Day – no school for students.
