First Full Week Complete– Thank you to our families, and especially our students, for doing their best to follow all the new safety protocols! 

Zones – Cohort Learning Groups will rotate this week. These changes were announced Friday.  Students are encouraged to listen to announcements, watch for posters, and check with their teacher  for their new zone.

Staffing Update – We welcome Ms. Marina McClintock to our staff.  Ms. McClintock will be partner teaching Monday-Wednesday with Ms. Gitzel.  Ms. McClintock was part of our staff last year and we are delighted to have her back.  We also welcome our EA practicum student, Ms. Toni Davis.

Picture Day Friday – individual pictures will be taken by Lifetouch Photography following new safety protocols.  All student will have their picture taken.  Families can make the choice to purchase packages

Cops for Cancer/Tour de Rock – We are supporting the Tour and our very own student Lily L. in her fundraising efforts by hosting a bottle drive on Thursday, September 24.  Please bring your empties and deposit in the bin provided outside.  Cash and cheques (made out to Cops for Cancer/Tour de Rock) and bring to office. Students and staff will cheer riders on as they drive by our school September 30 .

Terry Fox – We remember, and honour hero, Terry Fox each year and especially this 40th anniversary year.  We will do our run later in the year. 

Forms Online https://consent.sd62.bc.ca/apps/OnlineConsent?logout=1 and paper-base consent forms (envelopes sent home by Monday) please fill out the consent forms as soon as possible for your child(ren).  The daily health form needs to be filled in once; however, followed each day.  Online permission is also needed for students to use technology at school.  Please also note that your child’s pictures and name will not appear in the yearbook if you do not give consent.

There are no fees at this time.  If you would like to order a yearbook, (delivered in June), you can send a cheque or cash to the school in the form envelope or refer to the instructions for online payment  https://sd62.schoolcashonline.com/

Buses: you should have received information from the Transportation Department regarding bus routes. You can look at routes https://www.sd62.bc.ca/our-district/transportation/school-bus-routes.  The school does not have busing information.  Please contact Transportation at 250-474-9845 if you have questions.
