This Week @ Journey November 6-10

Raincoats and Boots – We live on the west coast and enjoy the rains of Autumn. Students are expected to go outside at recess and lunch to get some fresh air and physical activity. Please remind your child to wear clothing and footwear suited to the weather (we realize this is easier said than done). P.E. can also be outside and a change of clothes is always needed indoors or out.

Time Change – clocks roll back at 2 a.m. Sunday morning. Enjoy your extra hour!

Staff Update – We say goodbye to EA, Kris Begg as she moves on to a new position and welcome EAs Chandra Maragh and Raymond Yee to our Journey Team.

Monday

Tea in the foyer – in the foyer for some herbal tea compliments of our Aboriginal Department. Students are encouraged to bring their own mug.

Homework Club for Ms. Dvorak’s students at lunch by appointment in your classroom

Sk8 Park – weather permitting @ lunch for student with waiver forms. 

Wednesday 

Hot Dog Day @ lunch $2.00 per dog! Cash and munch cards accepted. Munch cards available in the office for $20

Outdoor Club – listen for announcements about where to meet at lunch. Remember to wear clothes to suit the weather

Thursday

Exploratories – remember to bring your supplies, equipment and a change of clothes depending on your exploratory. We will supply the band aids.

Litter Pick Up – to keep our school grounds clean, the whole school will be out picking up litter this afternoon (two songs long).

Youth Orchestra performs at Journey today for our music students from 11-12 in the Gym. Well behaved families are welcome to attend.
