Home / School News / February 11th: Fire Alarm this Afternoon

Parents/Guardians,
We had an eventful ending to our Exploratories today.

The fire alarm bell rang  today because of a heat sensory in the woodshop. There was no fire and every student was safe and accounted for. Journey staff and students assembled in their advisory classroom outside and waited patiently as the Sooke Fire Department searched the building for the source of the alarm. As we waited the fire department used commercial fans to pull the hot air out of the wood shop so we could return to our Exploratory classes.
I would like to thank the students, staff, and the Sooke Fire Department for their quick response.

Regards,

Glenn Bedard
