B5, B14 School bus changes due to bridge closure tomorrow

Dear Parents/Guardians

If your child takes school bus B5 or B14, please read this note as those routes will be changed due to the closure of the Roche Cove Bridge.

Roche Cove Bridge will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, October 17. Here are the school bus changes for that day:

AM morning pick up:

• B14 Nagel & Gillespie – this stop will not be available. Pick up will be at 17 Mile pub.
• B5 & B14 Pick up at East Sooke and Mount Matheson at regular scheduled AM times
• B5 & B14 will have to use Kangaroo Road, so buses will arrive to school 15-20 minutes later than normal, but before bell time.

PM Afternoon drop off:

• B5 & 14 will be dropping students off 15-20 minutes later than usual.
• Students who normally get dropped off at Nagel & Gillespie will be dropped off at the 17 Mile Pub. Students in Grade 3 or younger must be met by a parent/guardian.

Currently the closure is only scheduled for the one day, but if it extends beyond Wednesday, the same routine will apply on Thursday.
