Thanks to our Leadership Students for organizing Spirit Week (see below for themes each day this week)

Monday – Dress as your favourite person (famous or not) 

Grade 7’s move firewood to the Pit Cook via “The Water Brigade” Last day to bring in vegetable for tomorrow’s feast.

Gr. 7 & 8 Band rehearsal with Community Band 7 -8 pm in band room. 

Tuesday – Spirit week – Hawaiian Day 

Grade 7 Pit Cook all day. We welcome elders, community members and grade seven students to our 5th Annual Pit Cook today. The event takes place over the whole day beginning with Mr. Bedard lighting the fire at 6 a.m! Student will have the opportunity to load the vegetables into the pit in the morning and uncover them for an afternoon meal. Salmon will be cooked over the open fire and added to the offerings.

Literacy Litter Clean up during Literacy today 

Grade 6 Immunizations – our public health nurses will be in today to immunize our grade six students. For more information, please contact them at their office.

Thursday Spirit Week – Twin day 

EMCS Soccer Academy demo in Blocks 2&3. For all students in grade 7 and 8 who are interested and want to find out more about joining Soccer Academy when they go to EMCS.

Ms. Fed’s class is selling Freezies today to raise money for Camp Barnard. Freezies are $1 each.

Exploratories Today the Future Journey Dragon Exploratory Welcomes Grade Five students from Poirier (English). A reminder if you are bringing a bike for exploratory you must store it at the bike racks. There is no place for your bike in the school.

Friday Spirit Week – PJs & Movie Day

Band Freezie Sales @ Lunch – The Band is fundraising by selling Freezies at lunch today for $1 outside the kitchen.

Congratulations to our former Journey students who will be graduating tomorrow from EMCS. We are proud of their accomplishments and wish them well in their future endeavors!
