Community Information: The annual Rotary Auction takes place this Saturday, April 29. Our Drumline, Strings and Journey Rock ‘n’ Roll will be playing at event!
PAC Update: Parents are part of what makes Journey a great place to run to. All Parents are welcome to attend our next PAC meeting on May 9th at 7pm in the library. Election Time: The elections for the President and Treasurer positions will be held at the May 9th PAC meeting. Anyone can be Nominated (please let them know that you have nominated them). If you or anyone you know is interested in any position please emails Teresa M mason92@telus.net . The elections for all other positions will take place at the September meeting.
The Journey PAC is hosting our first ever Burger & Beer Night and Silent Auction Fundraiser at Buffy’s on Saturday May 13, 2017. Tickets are only $15 for a burger & beer. There will be a 50/50 draw and a silent auction with AMAZING items to bid on from all of our awesome Sooke and Westshore businesses. You can buy a ticket at the school office or contact Erika at erikas1977@shaw.ca. We are also collecting items for the auction. Staffing Update: Best wishes to Counsellor, Ms. Bourdon, who will begin her maternity leave right after school on Thursday. Ms. Bourdon’s position will be filled by Ms. Naomi Cooper who will begin on Thursday. We are also saying a temporary “so long” to Custodian, Mr. Lasell who will be heading off to David Cameron Elementary for a short time. We wish both of our Journey team members well.

Gym Closes for painting for the next three weeks. It’s not the best time, but we definitely welcome the much needed cleaning and painting for our gym. PE classes will use the fields and/or multipurpose room. All afterschool events have been cancelled.
