This is a friendly reminder that registration for the Late French Immersion (LFI) program closes on Friday the 30th at 11:55 p.m. There are still spaces available for students who are interested in joining the program.
Why consider Late French Immersion?
Late French Immersion is a great option for students who are motivated to learn a second language and enjoy a challenge. In the first two years of the program, students focus on building strong French language skills. In Grade 8, they transition into the regular French Immersion stream and, upon graduation, earn a Dual Dogwood Certificate.
Research shows that learning an additional language not only strengthens proficiency in a student’s first language, but also supports cognitive development, problem-solving skills, and flexibility in thinking. Many students also gain confidence, broaden their social circles, and open doors to future academic and career opportunities.
If your child is curious, motivated, and interested in expanding their learning experience, Late French Immersion may be an excellent fit.
