Happy New Year Journey Dragons – Although it will not look too different coming back on Monday, we are hopeful we are moving toward and happy and healthy 2021. We are pleased to welcome back all our students and especially those returning from remote learning. We remind everyone that we will continue the protocols we had in place in December.
Daily Health Check – please remember to follow the DHC and not send your child to school if they are not well. If a student becomes unwell, or tells us they are unwell, at school, they will wait for pick up in our Supervision Room which is sanitized between guests. Up to two students can be in the room at one time (physically distanced and masked). Masks – please continue to provide and remind your child to bring a mask to school each day.
Thank you to all our performers who participated in our Virtual Talent Show. Not quite the same as a gym filled with 580 hand-clapping fans, but wonderful just the same!
Sooke Food Bank – Journey’s donation was $1540.00 this year. Thank you to our students, staff and families for helping our local community. Thank you also to the individuals who donated through the EMCS 10,000 night.
PAC Fundraiser – Thank you to all who participated in the December fundraiser. This month PAC is sponsoring a Westcoast Seed Fundraiser. All proceeds go to classroom/school projects.
Attention gardening guru’s and new gardeners! JANUARY 1st to JANUARY 22nd 2021 Journey Middle School PAC is partnering again with West Coast Seeds for their Fundraiser – We will earn 40% of every packet of high quality seeds that we sell. The company provides Canada No.1 standard seeds that are untreated, non-GMO, and suitable for sustainable organic growing. All seeds are independently tested for germination and purity, and report germination rates on our packages.” Please keep PAC in mind this coming season when you purchase your beloved seeds.

Last year seeds were in high demand. Don’t miss out on ordering your favourites! Seeds can be picked up at the school or sent home with your child.
New Zones begin each week – Morning: students may go to any zone. Must always wear a mask and physically distance when possible. Recess and Lunch: zones rotate today. Masks are not required when in cohort zone but must be used when travelling to and from zone.
FAST #3 begins Monday. Students will begin their new FAST rotation beginning today and running until February 24.
