It has been a wonderful couple of weeks having some students return to school on a part-time basis! Students did an impressive job following Health and Safety protocols that have been created at the district level to keep students and staff as safe as possible. It has been great to see smiling faces filling the school once again!
If you would like to register your student please do so by contacting our head secretary, Gina Thompson at gthompson@sd62.bc.ca. Your child must be REGISTERED, (2 days in advance) to attend to ensure we have space and teaching staff to meet the regulations. We CANNOT accept students on a drop-in basis.
Continuity of Learning at school is offered on the following days and will follow regular school hours: Grade 6 – Monday, (June 22 last day) Grade 7- Wednesday, (June 17 & 24) and Grade 8 – Friday, (June 19 last day + Leaving Celebration June 23).
UPCOMING IMPORTANT INFO/DATES:
Yearbooks: We have been notified by the publishers that our yearbook should be arriving by the end of June. We will contact you with pick up details as soon as they arrive. Thanks to Ms. Wiens for completing this book of memoires!
Chromebooks: We are asking families to return Journey Chromebooks June 22nd-23rd. Please arrive at the front doors/entrance on one of these days during the hours of 8:30-3:30 p.m. If you are unable to return the Chromebook on one of these dates/times please contact gthompson@sd62.bc.ca to make alternate arrangements. Chromebooks will be re-issued in September if needed.
Grade 8 Leaving Celebration: Grade 8 students are invited to participate in a ‘school leaving drive-through’ on June 23rd 11a.m.-1p.m. Further details have been sent to Grade 8 families.
Grade 5 Future Journey Dragons Celebration: The Journey Dragon will make a special appearance at the Grade 5 Leaving Parade on Friday, June 19 1-1:30 p.m. in the town centre.
Report Cards: Will be available on the Student Portal on MyEd June 25th. Please contact the office between June 25th – July 3rd if you have difficulty accessing the information online.
