This Week @ Journey

After all this rain we’re happy to report that Wiarton Willie did not see his shadow on Ground Hog Day this weekend! This means Spring will be arriving soon; however, Spring in Sooke however usually means rain!

Our grade 6/7 Girls Competitive Team played at Gordon Head last week.. They won ALL 3 matches against Gordon Head, Royal Oak, and Glanford. They actually did not lose a single set ( 6 – 0 ) on the night!!!!  You should have seen how happy our girls were and how well they played. It was an awesome start to the season. Journey was the talk of the gymnasium 😊.

Musical Theater auditions start this week  for this year’s show in collaboration with EMCS running the week of June 8^th. The show is “We Will Rock You” with music from Queen. Audition monologues are available in the Library. Students in Grade6-8 can audition. Any questions, see Mrs. Fader.

Friends on Friday continues! Students interested in being a part of this club should come to the Aboriginal Education office at noon hour recess on Fridays.

Robotics Jamboree – teams from Spencer and Dunsmuir will be arriving at Journey today to compete with us in the annual Robotics Jamboree. We are happy to host this year and look forward to participating in the Regionals. Go Dragons!
