“People Run to Be Here” even on Saturday. Saturday morning Journey students and music teacher, Ms. Bjourlund, boarded a school bus and joined over 100 new and beginning band students from across the Sooke School District at Dunsmuir Middle School for their first lesson and first concert with their brand new instruments. The organizers reported that all students represented their schools exceptionally well making for some very proud music teachers. This is the fourth year of this event and such large numbers are always encouraging and speak volumes about the success of the music in SD62.
