Congratulations to Grady and Logan who were chosen to race in the hamster balls at the Grizzlies Game on Sunday! The entire crowd cheered them on. Mr. Elm’s class sold the most tickets with 21 tickets sold!
Tuesday, March 6 – Parent Meeting for Europe 2019 Trip – All families interested in hearing about Journey’s planned trip to Europe in Spring Break 2019 are invited to attend a meeting on March 6 at 7:00pm.
It’s not too Late for Late French Immersion: Parents and children do not have to speak French to be eligible for this opportunity. If you would like more information, please check the website and/or contact Mrs. Szadkowski for more information. We will be accepting registrations until the end of February.

Carnaval de Journey! Monday, Feb. 26. All afternoon. Fun and prizes just for participating. Food truck selling poutine $5 at lunch until the end of day. We begin the day with a parade to Ecole Poirier and then come back to Journey for activities. Rumour has it that some floats are over the top! Most activities have no cost; however, all food booths will have a charge. CUPCAKE SALE–All band and string students are asked to bake 2 dozen cupcakes and bring them in Monday morning. They will be sold for $1 each at lunch and during the carnaval! Bring baked goods to the music room in the morning. Please mark all containers well. This is a FUNDRAISER FOR THE LADYSMITH TRIP.
Pink Flag will be coming around for signing by all staff and students. We will host our Flag of Kindness on Wednesday to honour Pink Shirt Day.

Today our Pink Flag will fly proudly from our flag pole! There are prizes for trivia, pink info cards being given out by our GSA Club and the class with 100% pink t-shirt participation wins a field trip bus!

Grade 8/9 Hockey Academy game 9-10 a.m. Students will be walking to the arena via the trail to SEAPARC. Students wishing to stay for the staff vs. EMCS game must be accompanied by an adult who is at the arena. The adult and child must check in with the divisional teacher. We will not be leaving any student unattended.
