This Week @ Journey January 23-27

Her Honour, Judith Guichon Lieutenant Governor of BC made a visit to our school on Wednesday to help kick-off a year of celebrating Canada’s 150 years of Confederation. Our student performances were outstanding and she left here impressed and knowing a little more about our school. Teamwork really paid off. Thank you to our talented students and staff for putting together a wonderful experience.

Open volleyball at lunch. Come out and play volleyball at lunchtime. The days announced each morning so listen carefully!

Registration for Late French Immersion begins today (current grade 5 students eligible).

Tuesday

Grade 8 Girls’ volleyball practice 7:30-8:30 a.m.

Jazz band 8:30 a.m. in the band room.

Tea Time in Foyer – students can enjoy a free cup of tea today at recess. Students are encouraged to bring their own mugs. 

Culture Club – meet at lunch outside Ab Ed room

Div. 9/10 Homework Club – Ms. Kilpatrick’s classroom at lunch

Divisions 1 & 2 Math Support – at lunch in Mr. Constable’s room

Div. 11 – Homework Support at lunch in Ms. Dvorak’s room

Exploratories begin today – bring everything you need (clothing, bikes, eggs etc)

Robotics Club – Interested in learning more about Robotics? Come to Ms. Dvorak’s room afterschool today from 3-4 pm and have some fun!

Volleyball Practice – Boys in grades 6 & 7 interested in playing volleyball on our school team this year have a practice afterschool from 3-4 in the gym.

Friday

Chess Club @ lunch in Mrs. Syme’s class. Beginners and experts are welcome to join in.
