Thank you/Merci/Hych’ka – Thank you to one of our Journey Families for sending every student at our school a Spook ‘o’ gram on Monday. This was much appreciated by everyone! Merci to our local firefighters for working with some of our grade 8 students about the physics, chemistry and biology of firefighting!

Math Support – at lunch in Mr. Constable’s room for Divisions 1 & 2

Tuesday

Today Divisions 9, 10, 13 and 14 welcome Julie Budgen to teach introductory classes in Capoeira for our PE dance units! Capoira is a Brazilian martial art/dance with fluid, playful movements which become acrobatic. Students use Brazilian rhythms, flexibility and action/reaction skills to practice non-contact escapes and kicks.  Several Journey students who have been active in local Capoeira classes will assist. Our thanks goes out to the Journey PAC for the chance to share this exciting learning and local opportunity with so many Journey students. Obrigabo (Thank you!) to the Journey Pac for the support!
