HomeThank you to the families who donated and participated in our annual Terry Fox Run. We have almost met our/Terry’s goal of $1 per student and staff and will be accepting donations all week. Hych’ka to all families who honoured those who attended Residential schools by wearing orange on Friday. It was appreciated.

Monday– Grade 8 band students must return the cross enrolment forms to Mrs. Bjorklund or the front office. 

Tuesday – Jazz band starts today at 8:30 a.m. in the band room.  Grade 7 and 8 students are invited to join. 

Freezies $1 all proceeds go for Cops for Cancer/Tour de Rock 

Sk8 Club today @ lunch (weather permitting). Waivers must be in to Mr. Donegani or Mr. Kovacik to be eligible to participate (forms are in the office)

Nipponophile Club Meets in Mrs. Bridal’s room @ lunch. For those who love everything Japanese including Anime, Manga and Yugio Cards.

Cops for Cancer/Tour de Rock – the riders arrive in our town at 1:17 and the community is welcome to join all of our elementary schools and Journey as we welcome this group of men and women who have been pedaling down the Island to raise funds and awareness for children with cancer. We will be walking to Sooke Elementary who is hosting this year’s event right after lunch. Our route is Throup, Church and Country Rds. Please send in a donation if you can to support this cause. This year we have two students shaving their heads: Talia W. and Tyler L have been raising money and will lose their locks for this great cause!

Friday– Bike to School Day Staff and students are encouraged to ride their bikes to school today

Bike Rally at SEAPARC – Pump track, jump instructors, plus mechanics will be on hand. Students from each neighbourhood have signed up to participate and must have their waiver form into the office by Thursday. Thank you to SEAPARC for sponsoring this event for us.
