Congratulations to Division 1 on their success at the bake sale last week. They raised $148.55 to help the evacuees from Fort McMurray!  Thank you to the PAC for matching their donations, bring our total up to almost $300!

Thank you to all the parents who attended our Cyber Safety Presentation last Wednesday evening. It wasn’t a huge crowd, but the parents who did attend received some valuable information and asked some insightful questions.

Journey Fun Day – Our Journey Fun Day was enjoyed by all our students and staff. Students were allowed to bend the school rules slightly throughout the day Friday, May 13th (Yes, Friday The 13th) all for good causes designed to enhance our school. The culmination activity occurred during lunch hour when all grades were able to soak staff with over 600 water balloons! Staff in costumes happily enjoyed the barrage of water balloons much to the delight of students. A special thanks to Mr. Bryan and Ms. Johnston for organizing the whole day of fun for us. Journey Floor Hockey Tournament- The Journey Student Cup Final took place on Wednesday, May 11 at lunch in the Gym. A hard fought game between The Sooke Squids and The Destroyers saw The Destroyers come out on top by the slimmest of margins – 4 goals to 3. This has set the stage for the Journey Championship Cup Final. On Monday, May 16th, The Destroyers (who have yet to lose a game in the tournament) take on the Dream Catchers (Staff Team) for overall floor hockey supremacy in our school. This is a game not to be missed and both students and staff are excited about who will achieve ultimate floor hockey glory at Journey.
