Parent Teacher Conferences are November 19. Book your conference time online beginning Monday.
Presentation: In the spring of last year, our School District hosted a session on Anxiety and Youth presented by Dr. Kristin Buhr. Parents provided us with positive feedback about this session, stating that they found the content informative and relevant to some of the challenges facing our children today. We are pleased to announce that Dr. Buhr will be joining us again on January 27th from 3:30 to 4:45 at Happy Valley School and at Journey from 6 – 7 pm for parents, caregivers and educators. In this way, parents have the option of attending an afternoon or evening session. Please feel free to share this information with friends and enter the date into your calendar.

“Hear ye, Hear ye, Hear ye – Journey Middle School is pleased to announce the formation of the new and exciting – Dragon’s Den Creative Writing Club!
Budding writer’s, together with those of established and formative penmanship and coupe de plume skills, come and write on a subject of the day, or their own choice of subject, for an hour then share their work with other student scribe’s that same day (if they wish) – A short story, poetry, drama, fiction, non-fiction – it’s all up to the writer. ALL written genres are welcomed. Themes on the day are suggested by Mr. Bryan our Dragon’s Den champion. This last week for example, the focus was on creation of Halloween written works designed to describe All Hallow’s Eve. All grades are welcome and all students are encouraged to discover, embrace and channel their inner Shakespeare! Come one, Come All to this weekly composition adventure. The only rule is that there are … no rules when entering the wondrous and brave new world of the Journey Dragon’s Den Creative Writing Club! The Club meets each today at Noon in the Main Computer Lab.
We are such stuff as dreams are made on, and our little life, is rounded with sleep, Better three hours too soon than a minute too late, We know what we are, but not what we may be. William Shakespeare”
