Community Info

EMCS OPEN HOUSE is scheduled for Thursday, January 24th from 6:00 to 7:30.  We showcase the courses, programs, clubs, sports, and other opportunities available at EMCS. While the Open House is available to all grades, and community members, attendance is especially important for next year’s grade 9’s and their parents.  They will have an opportunity to explore the school, meet the teachers, counselors, and administrators, listen to course, club, program, and team descriptions, ask questions, and view student products from our many academic and elective courses.  The information gleaned from the Open House will help prospective grad 9’s make their very best academic, elective, and extra-curricular choices for the coming year. We look forward to seeing  all of Journey’s grade 8’s and their parents on January 24th!

Grade 8 Band Students – You are invited to the EMCS Band’s Open Rehearsal during the EMCS Open House on Thursday January 24th. Bring your instrument and get ready to play some new music, enjoy some food, and meet the EMCS band “family.” Parents welcome.  Music will be sent out in advance for students to preview.  RSVP with your name and instrument by Friday, January 18 to Band Director Laurel Parliament: lparliament@sd62.bc.ca
