PAC News: The bottle drive you’ve been waiting for is Saturday, February 10, from 9:00-1:00 on Sooke Road under the SEAPARC sign. If you’re not sure what to do with all those empties after Super Bowl Sunday, we’d be happy to take them off your hands!  If you are available to help out that day, please e-mail journeymiddleschoolpac@gmail.com with your contact info and availability.  Thanks!

It’s not too late to register for Late French Immersion: Parents and children do not have to speak French to be eligible for this opportunity. If you would like more information, please check the website and/or contact Mrs. Szadkowski for more information. We will be accepting registrations until the end of February.

Monday  

FAST (Fine Arts, Applied Skills, and Technology) #3 begins today. All students will move to their next rotation. This means we are halfway through the year already!

Boys’ Gr. 7/8 and Girls’ grade 6/7 & 7/8 Volleyball practice @ lunch

Robotics after school (MINDSTORMS) 3:15 – 430 in Ms. Dvorak’s room

Journey hosts the Boys’ Grade 7/8 Volleyball Jamboree afterschool. Come out and cheer on our Dragons!

Tuesday

Need2 Suicide Education: Mr. McLeod’s class 10:15 – 12 and Mme. Abell’s class 1:15-3pm

Tea in the foyer – in the foyer for some herbal tea compliments of our Aboriginal Department. Students are encouraged to bring their own mug.

Wrestling Club @ lunch today in the Multi-Purpose Room. New members welcome and wear PE strip.

Robotics after school (EDISONS) 3:15 – 430 in Ms. Dvorak’s room

Volleyball Jamboree: Grade 6/7 girls’ volleyball team will be hosting Glenlyon Norfolk School and St. Pats today afterschool. Come cheer on our Dragons after school. Go Dragons, Go!

Wednesday  

Pizza Lunch Day @ lunch $3.50 per burrito. Cash and/or munch cards accepted. Munch cards available in the office for $20

Wrestling Club @ lunch today in the Multi-Purpose Room. New members welcome and wear PE strip.

Grade 7/8 girls’ volleyball team will be visiting Colquitz Middle School today. The team will be playing Colquitz, Monterey and North Saanich. Parent drivers are necessary, so please let Mr. Donegani know if your child does not have transportation.

Thursday

Exploratories – Skateboard exploratory with Mr. Donegani be prepared for some sun this week, meaning bring your means of shredding the park and protecting your noggin against the ‘crete. Nonetheless, be prepared for another indoor day of skateboard history, fingerboard park designing and planning out our stencils.

Thursday homework club, Div. 11 and others by appointment (this means you have to tell Ms. D. you’re coming in) Ms. Dvorak’s room at lunch
