Welcome to another school year at Journey. Tuesday we welcome all of our new students and welcome back our returning grade seven and eight students and staff .  The first bell rings at 8:42 a.m. Class lists will be posted on the windows in the foyer and on the foyer walls Tuesday morning. All grade six students please meet in the Gym and new students in grade seven and eight please meet in the office. All other students report to your new classroom when the bell rings. Tuesday students will be dismissed at Noon and buses will be running for students who have pre-registered.

Students are always full of anticipation about who will be in their class and who will be their new teacher(s). This is an exciting time and parents can help their children by assuring them they will make new friends and/or hang out with old ones at recess and lunch. Staff have worked over the summer to create classes that are balanced and have the best opportunity for student learning.

We end the week with Welcome Back Assembly and BBQ on Friday. Happy New Year!

Well, this is it! Thank you to all our families for your support over the past year. We wish all of our grade eight students good luck in their new high schools and know they will do well. To our grade six and seven students returning next year we wish you a very happy summer. For students and families moving from Sooke, we hope you remember your time here fondly and that you are happy in your new adventures. As always, it has been an honour and a privilege to work with your children this year.
