This Week @ Journey Oct. 28-Nov. 1

Parking Lot – Please help keep all children safe when picking up or dropping off. Please do not block the crosswalk area at any time and drive slowly at all times when on school property and in the Throup Road school zone. The area near the portable is not a parking lot, nor a drop off area. We have students entering and exiting the school and the portable and we need to keep it free from traffic. Your cooperation is appreciated.

Grade 8 Band Info – Grade 8 students must enroll in Orchestra 10A online.  This is for BAND AND STRING STUDENTS.  Ms. Bjorklund has sent home material about how to do it.  If you need assistance please email her at lbjorklund@sd62.bc.ca if you need help.  It is important to use the tab…middle school…Journey…Sooke Performing arts.  Students will receive 4 high school credits for being in band or orchestra.

Sooke wrestling club open to all middle and high school students who want to try competitive wrestling.  Practice today 3:30-5:00 @ Journey.  Club fees are $30 to cover BC wrestling insurance

On the QT – Voices Room (#2250 in Narnia) at lunch for students who like a quiet place to hang out at lunch. 

Leadership club meets Tuesday at lunch in the art room with Ms. Robirtis, Ms. Fed and Mrs. J. Come out and share your ideas about how to make our school even better than it is!

Choir meets in the Band Room at lunch – all students who love to sing welcome. 

Homework Club in Ms. Dvorak’s room at lunch for Division 13 & 20 by appointment

Subway Lunch Day @ lunch $3.50 per sandwich. Cash and munch cards accepted. Munch cards available in the office for $20 

Halloween Dance Tickets on Sale @ Lunch in foyer $5 each

Halloween Dance – 6:30-8:30 p.m. Students must be in attendance at school today to attend the dance. There are no in and out privileges and parents must sign out their child if they pick them up early. Phone calls home to all student who have purchased a ticket and have not arrived by 7 pm. Costumes encouraged – No full masks or costumes that cover the entire face. No real or pretend weapons. Thank you to our PAC for providing snacks/refreshments for sale and to our staff for chaperoning!

SOGI Club meeting at lunch room 2226. Open to all LGBTQ+ students and allies.
