School News:

We are saying farewell to one of Student Engagement Facilitators, Madeline Stafford and EA Maelene K. We wish them both well at their new positions in the CHOICES program at Wishart Elementary. Welcome back to our custodian, Steve Hill who returned to us last week. 

Monday 

Mayor of Natori, visits Journey today. We welcome him to Journey and the town of Sooke 

Spook-o-grams on sale today for 50 cents. Send one to a friend – they will be delivered on Halloween Day. 

Robotics Club 3:15-4:30 in Ms. Dvorak’s room 

Journey wrestling and combative games at lunch in the multi purpose room today.  Waivers needed to participate but no fee is required for lunch time participation.

Sooke wrestling club open to all middle and high school students who want to try competitive wrestling.  Club practices will start Monday and Wednesday 3:30-5:00 @ Journey.  Club fees are $30 to cover BC wrestling insurance.  More information can be given at practice.

FAST Rotation #2 Begins today 

Tuesday  

On the QT – Voices Room (#2250 in Narnia) at lunch for students who like a quiet place to hang out at lunch. 

Leadership club meets Tuesday at lunch in the art room with Ms. Robirtis, Ms. Fed and Mrs. J.

Calling all students who like/love to sing 🎶! – meet today in the Band Room at lunch 

Homework Club in Ms. Dvorak’s room at lunch for Division 13 & 20 by appointment

Pizza Lunch Day @ lunch $3.50 per slice. Cash and munch cards accepted. Munch cards available in the office for $20 

Robotics Club: Experienced and competitive members are meeting today at 3:15-4:30 pm in Ms. Dvorak’s room 1133 (Mystical Main) 

SOGI Club meeting at lunch room 2226. Open to all LGBTQ+ students and allies.

Thursday 

Exploratories – Bring your equipment, clothing etc. needed to participate. 

Freezies on sale at lunch $1 each outside kitchen door 

Ms. Yarchuk and Ms. Stafford will be accompanying the grade 8 girls registered for The Power of Being a Girl Conference – this full day event happens today. The students attending will need to meet at the school entrance. Our bus leaves promptly at 8:45 am. 

Halloween Dance Tickets go on sale today at lunch. $5 each. Tickets will be on sale until next Wednesday (no tickets at the door)
