Walk and Wheel to School Week Journey is participating in the 2018 Walk & Wheel to School Work from October 1-5. We will be celebrating active travel all week!

Students who walk or wheel (bus, bike, scoot, or skate) all or part way to /from school, will get a sticker to put on our school trip tracking poster. At the end of the week, we will send a picture of our poster to the Capital Regional District (CRD) to show off our active travelling and a chance to win prizes.

Community Info:

Grade 6 Immunizations: Watch for immunization consent packages for grade 6 students that will be sent home early in the fall. Students in grade 6 will be offered immunizations in school-based clinics with the consent of a parent(s) or representative. Please contact the local Health Unit at 250-519-3490 and ask to speak with a Public Health Nurse if you have any questions.

We are looking for a few parent volunteers to help with our Immunization clinic on Wednesday October 24th. If you are interested in volunteering please contact Charmaine Campbell at chcampbell@sd62.bc.ca

The riders are scheduled to arrive at 2:19 and we are raising money in various ways to support this fantastic cause. Our most popular is the “head shave”. So far we have grade 8 student Gavin M. and grade six teacher Mr. McLeod collecting pledges!
