This Week @ Journey June 4-8

Hych’ka/Kleco Kleco to the many grade seven families who supplied vegetables for our pit cook last week. We had enough to feed the entire grade seven crew and our guests. The salmon was cooked perfectly and a good feast and celebration was had by all. 

Moving? We will soon begin to build classes for next year and need the most updated information as possible. If you are moving to another school district, or another catchment area within our district, please email lszadkowski@sd62.bc.ca with your information. This will help us in determining how many divisions for each grade level are needed and assign teachers. Our 2108-19 staffing is not quite complete; however, we hope to be able to have that done by the end of next week and will publish the list as soon as possible.

Lost and Found – All articles are being donated to charity afterschool on Tuesday. They are out in the hallway near the gym on display.

Monday 

Band Concert Rehearsal -blocks 4 and part of 5 today for Grade 6 and 7 concert band students in the band room to practice for concert on the 11^th 

MANDATORY REHEARSAL  for Grades 7 and 8 students in concert band tonight 7-8pm in the band room.  This is to prepare for the concert on the 11th and this is part of the final mark for the year.

Wednesday 

Pizza Lunch – $3.50 per slice 

All leadership students interested in the planning for the connector trail from Sunriver across Demamiel Creek. Representatives from the municipality are coming to provide information and ask for feedback during the lunch hour in Mme. Abell’s Room. Be part of decision making for our community! 

Come out and watch the Journey/EMCS production of Grease. Evening Performance 7 pm tonight @ EMCS $10 per ticket purchase from Mrs. Fader in the library, at EMCS, or at Shopper’s Drug Mart 

EMCS Grads do a walk through 2-2:15 @ Journey. Today our former students walk through the halls of Journey with their caps and gowns. We’re so proud of them and can’t believe they’re that old already! 

Thursday 

Grease – School Show today for classes who pre-booked tickets. Buses load at 9:10 for EMCS and will return for lunch. Good luck to all our performers.

Band Freezie Sales @ Lunch – The Band is fundraising by selling Freezies at lunch today for $1 outside the kitchen.
