Are you interested in going to Europe during Spring Break next year? Journey is hosting a trip with EF Tours to travel to Switzerland, France, Italy, and Spain. If you were not able to attend the parent meeting in March, but still want information, please visit www.eftours.ca/2047128PU or email Ms. Wiens at dwiens@sd62.bc.ca. You can also come by the Journey Open House on April 19 and speak to Ms. Wiens about the details of the trip.

Track and Field Season will be starting soon. Encourage your child to listen to announcements and sign up and practice times. Coaches this year are: Mrs. Barnes, Mr. Hart, and Mr. Vine and they are hoping to put together a strong team this year.

Monday  

Junior Achievement presents in Ms. Wien’s class today – block 4 

Extra Band Practice for completion on Thursday – Block 3 Gr. 8 clarinets and flutes; and Block 5  -both grade 6 and grade 7 classes, and percussion from grade 8.

Rugby Practices for Girls and Boys teams after school. 

Robotics after school (LEGO) 3:15 – 4:30 today

Health Survey – Mrs. Federici and Mrs. Bridal’s classes have been chosen to take part in a BC Health Survey 9-10 a.m.

Block 4:   Federici, Maragh and Donegani

Block 5: Vine, Roy and Dunbar

Thursday

Band and strings attend Regionals for Musicfest Canada in Ladysmith.  Bus will leave Journey at 10 am and return at 8:30pm.

Friday the 13th! 

Exploratory Time – This a chance for students to choose what they want to learn! Term 3 Exploratory Forms go home with students today and we will begin accepting completed forms on Monday, April 16 at 7:45 a.m. in the Foyer. Please read all information carefully. Payment for first choice is required to register unless arrangements have been made with Mrs. Szadkowski prior to signing up. Waiver Forms (if required) are due Monday, April 23. Students who do not hand in a form by April 24 will be placed in an exploratory that does not require a fee. DO NOT RETURN FORMS TO CLASSROOM TEACHERS.
